Frequently Asked Questions About Our Enrichment Programs

At Growth Mindset Collective, we understand that choosing the right enrichment program for your homeschool family is a big decision. Here are some common questions we receive, along with detailed answers to help you make an informed choice.

What is the schedule for the enrichment programs?

Our enrichment programs run on a seasonal basis and are offered multiple times per week.

  • Monday & Wednesday: 2-hour classes that include 1 hour of Jiu Jitsu and 1 hour of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math).
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 2-hour hands-on enrichment classes focusing on gardening, nutrition, history, social studies, and the arts.

What are the parent participation requirements?

For our morning enrichment classes (Jiu Jitsu + STEAM on Mondays and Wednesdays), parents are not required to participate, though they are always welcome to observe or quietly assist if they choose. These classes are designed for children to engage independently under the guidance of our instructors.

For our afternoon enrichment program (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00–3:00 PM), parent participation is required. These sessions are structured to foster shared learning experiences, with parents actively engaging alongside their children in hands-on projects related to gardening, nutrition, history, and the arts.

How much do the programs cost?

Pricing varies slightly depending on the program and number of days enrolled, but we strive to keep everything affordable for homeschool families.

We are an approved vendor with Vista Oaks Charter School, and we are working toward approval with other charter schools such as Visions.
Charter funds are accepted for all programs.

Please contact us for current rates and availability.

Are there any additional activities or classes available?

Yes! In addition to our enrichment classes, we offer seasonal camps (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) as well as optional Jiu Jitsu training with Coach Mark, a Black Belt instructor with over 20 years of experience.

Jiu Jitsu classes help students develop physical strength, confidence, and self-discipline in a fun and supportive environment.
