About Us
Where Learning Feels Like Home
At Growth Mindset Collective - Homeschool Enrichment, we believe education should feel joyful, connected, and rooted in real life. Our nature-based, hands-on homeschool programs are built for families who want more than worksheets and screen time — they want their children to move, explore, build, grow, and learn in community.
We’re a small, homegrown collective based in Oakley, California, offering weekly enrichment programs for TK through 3rd grade students. Whether it’s planting in the garden, making a volcano, moving through a yoga flow, or building friendships, our classes are designed to support the whole child — body, mind, and heart.

Our Mission
To empower homeschool families by providing enriching, movement-based, nature-centered programs that inspire curiosity, encourage creativity, and build meaningful community.
We believe that when children are given space to explore the world around them and connect with others, they naturally grow into confident, capable, and compassionate humans.

Our Learning Philosophy
We teach through:
- Hands-On Projects – From science experiments to gardening, kids learn by doing.
- Outdoor Exploration – Nature is our classroom. We follow the seasons and work with the land.
- Movement-Based Education – We integrate yoga, games, and (optional) jiu jitsu to develop body awareness and confidence.
- Community & Connection – Small class sizes, parent involvement, and a co-op spirit make this more than just enrichment — it’s a support system.
We’re not a drop-off program — we’re a community. Families are welcome to stay, participate, and collaborate.
Younger siblings often join in informally, and friendships form quickly across all ages.
Community-Centric Learning

Sabrina Smith
Sabrina is a homeschooling mom of two, a certified yoga instructor, and an experienced educator with a Master’s in Kinesiology. She’s taught wellness, swimming, outdoor education, and group fitness in both university and homeschool settings. Her passion lies in helping children connect with their bodies, nature, and each other in healthy, playful ways.
Mark Miller
Mark is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt and lifelong martial artist. He runs the jiu jitsu program at Growth Mindset Collective and brings structure, discipline, and fun to the optional self-defense classes for homeschoolers. Mark’s story as a bullied kid-turned-champion inspires many of the families who train with him.
Together, Mark and Sabrina created Growth Mindset Collective to offer something different — an enriching space where kids are nurtured, challenged, and celebrated.
